Oxygen therapies

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy

In the hyperbaric chamber you breathe oxygen at a pressure higher than normal atmospheric pressure. This increases the amount of oxygen that reaches the body's tissues.

What is hyperbaric oxygen therapy?

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is used as support in recovery after surgery (including plastic surgery), in healing wounds and skin lesions, for sports injuries and for recovery after intense exercise.

The number and length of sessions depend on the prescribed treatment and your medical assessment.

What a session is like

  1. A medical assessment to confirm you have no contraindications.
  2. You enter the chamber in comfortable clothes, without metal objects or electronics.
  3. A session takes about 60 minutes; you may feel pressure in your ears at the start, like on a plane.
